This event was postponed. We will announce the new date expected in Early July.

From Executive Director Rebecca Lawrence:
"I am sorry that I did not announce the postponement widely. I really dropped the ball on communication in the last few weeks.
Our board and I decided to postpone [the LGBTQ+ aging event] shortly after George Floyd was murdered, as that was the timing for us to line up speakers and start promoting the event. Instead, we were all in crisis mode as our neighborhood burned and friends needed food, shelter and medical attention immediately. I only posted on Facebook once and changed the event to say it was postponed. I should have done more but I honestly did not have my executive functions intact...
I fully wish I had thought more about the event and been more proactive about communication. I had the capacity this past week and didn't realize I had not done my due diligence in announcing the postponement. We plan to hold the event in Early July instead. We had our first board meeting, post fundraiser, on Saturday and we are beginning the planning process again."

What are the unique considerations for LGBTQ+ people as we age? How has that changed over the last decade? As Boomers enter elder status, what lessons do they want to share with other generations?

Join us for a virtual conversation about aging, co-hosted by Twin Cities Public Television (TPT). New date is to be determined.

RSVP IS REQUIRED so we can send you a zoom link.

ASL interpreted. All ages. Free to attend but donations appreciated.

TELLING QUEER HISTORY is a series of gatherings based on sharing stories in an open, informal, and participatory format. It’s about connecting queer communities, queer history and generations so that we can learn from our shared past, present, and future.*

*Allies are welcome to join, listen and volunteer. Hearing our stories is a great way to be an ally, allowing and assisting us in having the space to tell our stories is a way to be an advocate. Thanks!
