HIV and AIDS: Tragedy to Activism
Stories of how the tragedy of early AIDS and HIV outbreaks united people of many identities to activism. Featuring: Patrick Scully, Maureen Wells, Sharon Day and Kevin "Kaoz" Moore.
Sharon Day: Executive Director of the Indigenous Peoples Task Force.
Maureen Wells: 40 years as a social worker for folks with AIDS and HIV. Now trains other social workers how to stay in the work without burning out.
Patrick Scully: Founder of Patrick's Cabaret and HIV positive performance artist.
Kevin "Kaoz" Moore: Out hip-hop performer who works in AIDS and HIV prevention with the Pillsbury House.
